Thank you for considering forestacres.com and indianacres.com (Forest Acres Camp for Girls and Indian Acres Camp for Boys). Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, nurturing, and educational environment for the entire Camp community.

This privacy policy outlines the safeguards we’ve taken online to protect your privacy. This policy also explains exactly why we ask for the information that we do.

This is a long document, so here are the highlights:

FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS WILL NOT SELL OR RENT ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE.

FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless required by law.

Certain private areas of the FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS website are password protected, and intended only for users affiliated with a camp (e.g., alumni, parents, campers).

Upon your request, FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS will delete or change any personal information we have about you.

Scope:
This privacy policy governs FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS’ treatment of “personal information” that FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS when you are anywhere on the FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS website. This privacy policy may not apply to websites outside of FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS’ control that you may visit through your use of FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS. Because FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS does not control these sites, FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS cannot be responsible for their information practices. Personal Information:
“Personal information” is information that personally identifies you. FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS will ask for your name, email address, address and phone number during the registration and/or request for information process. FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS will ask for credit card information if you wish to purchase goods or services offered on our website, and as an optional method for certain parental verification procedures (see below). In addition, if you are seeking potential employment at a summer camp in FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS, you may be asked to provide other personal information (such as a social security number).

FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS asks for personal information when you: (a) register on FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS, (b) enter sweepstakes and contests sponsored by us or one of our partners, or (c) send email messages, submit forms or send other information or content to FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS. FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS may be forced by law to disclose information in response to subpoenas, court orders or other legal processes. We may disclose your personal information as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in order to comply with the law or to enforce our Terms of Use Agreement. Additionally, despite FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS’ best efforts, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.

Cookies:
The servers of our website providers Babysteps and Bunk1, automatically collect information about what parts of FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS users visit and which pages are viewed. We use a feature of your browser called a “cookie” to assign a User ID that automatically identifies your computer when you visit the site. This is common practice on the Internet. Cookies do not tell us anything about unrelated sites that you visit, nor do they tell us anything else about what you may do on your computer. FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS uses cookies to determine who is a new visitor to FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS vs. who is a repeat visitor and other overall site statistics. If you have opted to receive email messages from us about products and services that may be of interest to you, you may, at any time, change your mind by forwarding the email you received to unsubscribe@indianacres.com. Please note that any personal information already disclosed to third parties will continue to be subject to such third parties’ privacy policies.

Security:
Our web service providers, Babysteps and Bunk1, uses industry-standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information, such as firewalls and secure socket layers where appropriate.

Message Boards and Other Private Areas:
Message boards, certain photo galleries and other private areas of a camp website are intended for members of that camp community only. For your security, these areas require passwords that are provided to people affiliated with that camp (e.g., campers and parents).

To promote a safe and friendly environment online, FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS and/or the camp owner (or other camp owner-designated camp staff) may monitor these pages and Message Boards, use filtering software and remove any material it finds inappropriate or objectionable. In addition, FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS and/or the camp owner (or other camp owner-designated camp staff) may investigate any complaints about users who are improperly using FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS’ services to harass or annoy others or gather personal information. If you believe someone has gained improper access to any private areas, or you encounter any other problems with FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS users, please notify FOREST and INDIAN ACRES CAMPS at privacy@indianacres.com.

You should not disclose personal information on a Message Board. If you voluntarily disclose personal information, that information can be collected and used by others.
